George Zimmerman: Acquitted killer to gun salesman

George Zimmerman mostly notorious for the killing of an unarmed black teenager named Trayvon Martin in 2012, again finds himself in the middle of controversy. Zimmerman is making more headlines in the news as he decided to auction off the gun that killed Martin in what he called self-defense.

The online host for this auction was UnitedGunGroup.com. They put Zimmerman’s Kel-Tec PF9 9mm up for sale, and many came flocking to try to capture his prized possession. Many auctioneers didn’t want any part of this sickening act and felt that it goes against morals and ethics. As United Gun Group put themselves in association with Zimmerman and the murder weapon, they have to understand criticism and scrutiny will follow them for years to come.

The online bidding ended on Wednesday as the final offer of $138,900 needs to be verified. This was definitely a horrible and distasteful move on Zimmerman’s part. To be acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter, you would think that Zimmerman would stay out of trouble and just go live his life, but he can’t somehow.

This is an evil and mentally sick individual. Zimmerman even went as far as blaming Trayvon Martin’s parents by saying it’s their fault on why their son is dead; they didn’t raise him right. That’s just plain disgusting to tell the parents of whom son you killed. Zimmerman says he wants to use the money from the auction to help causes that he believes in. But many sources are reporting that he’s run out of money and this was his last resort of cashing in.

Zimmerman can now be compared to O.J. Simpson as a man that got away with murder allegedly, and just found a way to not get out of his own way. We all know how this story ends, because in life you reap what you sow. I wouldn’t be shocked or surprised if Zimmerman kills again because he’s going down that same road. Years later when we all look back, we’ll say that the justice system failed Trayvon Martin and his family.
